tables are filthy and sticky, water standing in the bathroom/changing rooms and looks like it has been there for a while. they always have a list of food/drinks they are out of. the last time we went half the pool was FULL of bugs and also had a maxi pad in it. the life guards have to constantly blow whistles due to young kids being dropped off without supervision. (may want to make a 16 and under rule) the baby pool area is dirty and bottom of the pool had random items/ sand and hair. on a positive note the last two times (last because we wont be back) no one was there (now i kinda know why) and the shade umbrellas are nice and FREE! if there was an adult working on my way out i would have complained. there is a sign on the window that says no refunds on entrance and that should have been my sign. for the area to have several nice public pools they really need to step up the game. kinda disappointed because we live close.
The JAC has a summer swimming program for children that teaches them the various strokes and introduces them to swim meets. It can be taken as seriously or casually as you want which is nice for all skill levels. The facilities are in need of updating. Aquatics centers of surrounding cities have more/larger slides, more shaded areas, and more space in general. An area just for adults and those wishing to swim laps for exercise while others play would be nice as well.
Nice family oriented facilities. Plenty of lifeguards per attendees. I love the special pool areas for those who are novice swimmers. A fun time can be had by every member of your family....from the lil' babies to the grandparents!
The kids area has kept my preschoolers happy for 3 years running. The 2 slides are big and very fun, and my middle schooler loves the diving boards. The property is always clean and the life guards are very pleasant.
It was not overcrowded on the days I took my grandchildren. It was actually very nice and the 2 kids really loved it. It was clean water, unlike someone had said. Kids loved the slide, the larger one. The $3 for the icee's I thought was kind of steep because I bought 3. Just think they could prob charge less. Glad they had large umbrellas as I was able to sit under and stay out of direct sun. We all had a wonderful time and am going to take them back tomorrow.
