I’m an RN with stage 4 Breast cancer. I used to get my drug thru Cigna, no problems. Now I have to go thru Briova—every call at least 10 minutes, one time they wouldn’t take my order cause they were too busy, I was to call back next day! They act as though overnighting my med (an $11,800.00 med!) is a chore, Cigna always sent overnight no matter what. I’ve met my deductible & one time clerk charged copay??? I always order “no signature “, this time they sent out requiring signature, I wasn’t home & went all w/e without my oral chemo. I CLEARLY stated “no signature”. I’m beside myself, this is a serious error. As a nurse I’ve noticed these companies (with expensive specialty meds are forcing everyone to go thru their own pharmacies—they want all the $ & I believe the questions they ask are to prevent law suits (ie. Have u had any hospitalizations, any new side effects). Why does a pharmacy need this info when u obviously have a Dr. Prescribing. Briova isn’t run well & they just don’t care. I don’t know if my med was stored at the proper temp over week end! They could have ruined a med I cannot replace, I don’t wanna be dramatic but this is truly my life. I’m also chained to my house today waiting on delivery. Shame on them!!!
Hassle every time. Computers do not work or very slow, get dropped when transferring calls. Also between the regular and specialty pharmacy a lot of issues. Seems they do not know who handles which drugs. Lack of communication. Easy to fix but management does not seem to understand the amount of aggravation. The phone operators certainly do. They agree it's a mess. On the good side the shipments are quick when you finally get things put together.
Hands down the worst RX company their is. I'm a transplant patient and getting my medication is always a pain. My insurance company makes me use them, so I'm forced to stay with them.
I have been using specialty pharmacies for my immune compromised daughter for nearly 15 years. This is by far my worst experience. There are so many layers in this company they could care less whether you get your life-saving medication or not. I have been trying to get a very expensive infusion prescription transferred, IVIG, to this company for two weeks now. No one calls back or follows up. I believe I have talked to 6 or 7 representatives and each is as clueless as the rest. I need the medication in 2 days as it is a rigidly scheduled infusion and they are in no rush to get it me at all. I so miss the days of those small mom and pop specialty pharmacies. This is the complete opposite.
I seem to have problems every month. They send out the bill when it is too close to infusion date. They know that I can't get the bill, turn around, pay them, and expect it to get there by the time the medication is delivered. I have to put up with their calls every month about where is the payment for the medication, I always tell them the check is in the mail, really, and they get upset about it.
