I seriously question the legitimacy of this place. I will be contacting the health department and any other groups that can be made aware of they type of place this is so called facility and the "help" they provide. Depression issues need to be taken seriously not just thrown were a spot is open. This system is broken and needs to be looked into if a patient goes to a place that should be helping them and cannot then leaves to seek help else where, then gets blacklisted due to leaving a place that was not making an effort to help them they should not be punished for that.

the staff was really nice

the groups were really helpful too

This place is awful gave my son wrong medication and refused him a pillow and blanket then the social worker asked us what kind of drugs he needed to be on. This place is a bunch of BS and I wish I could give them a 0 there is alot more just would take forever to write it all.

First writing this from a second account to protect the identity of those involved.

She ultimately checked out AMA because the NA and AA meetings were not helping her depression but I dont think you need to be a Dr. to figure out why that is. The Doctor there would not see her privately in an office or room to discuss the issue way from other patients. Since she checked out AMA other places are now saying she needs to go back to Wellstone and they cannot help her since she checked out AMA.

My wife recently checked her self in here for depression. Once she was in they placed her in a group for chemical dependency and had her going to AA and NA meetings. None of which she needed and actually made her issues she checked in for worse as no one would listen to her when telling them she was there for other reasons than what groups they had her in. They never gave her a patient ID bracelet, another big red flag. She never received any journal or items to write with which she was told she would get to help express and write down her feelings in to help with the issues. The doctor on staff never spoke with her privately. The only contact with the doctor was in a group room as they were walking through and not in a private location to discuss the details of what she was going through. Discussing patient information in a room full of other patients sounds like a violation of Dr./Patient confidentiality to me.

Beware of thefts. I brought a family member in a large bag of new full size toiletries, new shirts, new socks and underwear, new pants, and other various personal items as well as some other clothes. Not only did I sign a paper itemizing the contains of said bag, I made sure they were approved items. She did not receive the items until days later and only a few of them, none of which were new items. I repeatedly got the run around from staff of where the bag was. She only received some of the bag. There are various signs posted and on the paperwork that they are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Beware. I have a hard time understanding how she only got some of the bag, but received no new items. Coincidence ? I don't think so. Again, beware with bringing anyone in items!!!!

My sister begged to be admitted and they still turned her away. What type of doctors and staff do they have? She already told them that she needed help badly yet turned away.

I went there it was great especially the food it was great

She recently had surgery and was on pain killers while the incision was healing. Wellstone received the prescriptions at check in and had them on hand to give to her when they needed to be taken. They then questioned the pain killers in her system. Really? You have it on record she had been prescribed these for post surgery treatment are letting her take them and then want to question why they are in her system.
